Update: This week has been a definite challenge for me. I've managed to get most of the inventory system working except for the combining/crafting of item system working. This has proved to be the most difficult and troublesome of the system to work. In the meantime whilst I figure out the solution to my combine system problems, I have also started work on a location based damage system for a basic humanoid styled enemy so enemies can have spots on their bodies that deal more or less damage eg. headshots. Another thing I've continued to work on is the demo level. Most of the blockout for this is done in terms of the 1st pass. Once this is complete I can focus on doing the 2nd pass which would involve switching some areas/items around as well as improving the level events and changing the structure of certain rooms. This is to make them more interesting as everything in its current state feels way too boxy for my liking. This will then lead to improving the level flow and the "ideal" route for the player. I wish to have a form of minor leniency in which the player how the player explores the level but still be required to do it in a set sequence. Weekly Goals:
Solve Combine/Crafting system problems and get it fully working.
Continue work on demo level/area. Monthly Goals:
Improve shooting controls and feel
Fix bugs noticed in play test of beginning area of demo
work on AI location damage and behaviours
